The agency provides weekly one hour individual and two hours group supervision. All licensed therapists or those seeking hours towards licensure are welcome to apply.
Position: Therapist, Early Esteem
Location: Duarte, CA
Summary: Therapist in the Early Esteem Program will work in New Hope and Home Program with children 0-5 and their young mothers. Therapist will provide training for childcare providers about identification of mental health problems. Provide mental health and child abuse assessments, mental health treatment, treatment to parent-child pairs, family therapy and child abuse treatment.
Qualifications:
· Masters Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology
· Registered or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, MFT, or Psychologist
· Bilingual – Spanish required
· Experience working with children in pre-school and kindergarten
· Excellent written and communication skills
· Experience in providing direct service and treatment to individuals, families and groups
· Experience with assessing and diagnosing children and adolescents
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to effectively and successfully interact with individuals from diverse socio-economic/ethnic groups
· Willingness to work in the community and in client homes
· Ability to keep information confidential
· Ability to be an excellent representative of the agency to the community
