Educational Program Developer

This position is responsible for developing new Professional Development products, monitoring their performance, and achieving revenue goals.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Developing marketable programs in assigned areas, including researching feasibility and marketability of new products

· Identifying, negotiating, and recruiting appropriate subject matter experts to develop and instruct educational programs

· Working with subject matter experts to develop new learning products, including, but not limited to, determining delivery format, coaching on instructional design and development of course learning materials, developing relevant criteria/product plans for promotional activities, and managing product launch

· Performing quality reviews and program evaluations and working with instructors to enhance customers’ learning experiences

· Developing and delivering relevant educational development programs for subject matter experts to enhance their learning products/delivery

· Managing growth of existing learning products, including, but not limited to, conducting performance analyses, evaluating success of product, determining product end-of-life, and ensuring products are kept up-to-date

· Utilizing databases and learning technologies as needed, including SAE customer database, learning management system, and appropriate learning tools

 QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

· Bachelors degree in Education, Business, technical or related field, required

· Five years experience in program development, educational or instructional design, training products, multi-media, distance education, or related business, required

· Experience in adult education or meetings management field

· Experience in association/non-profit environment

· Ability to work effectively with external customers and service providers, required

· Highly developed planning and organizational skills

· Excellent written/oral communication skills

· Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

· Working knowledge of technical trends and technology in the mobility industry

· Training/experience/skills in negotiation

· Solid understanding of educational development and instructional design principles

· Working knowledge of current learning technologies

· Ability to self-train on new products and procedures

· Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, required
