 Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight & HearingPOSITION DESCRIPTION

 Effective Date: May 2008Position: Executive AssistantDepartment:  Operations

Reports To: President and Chief Executive Officer

Incumbent:  TBD

Direct Reports: N/A

Job Classification: Full-Time

(Part time considered depending on qualifications of candidate)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Annualized Salary Range:  Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience.

 

 

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for enhancing and supporting communication for SightLife, primarily by supporting the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive Officer, and the Senior Management Team of the Foundation.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

Ø  Provide administrative support to the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive Officer:

· Act as liaison and communication conduit between CEO and the Board of Trustees.

· Act as representative of CEO in facilitating good communication among staff members.

· Coordinate agenda and other meeting documents for the Board of Trustees and board committees.

· Schedule and coordinate preparation for board meetings and events.  Follow through to assure completion of details and arrangements.

· Serve as primary contact and manager of CEO’s schedule ensuring preparation and timely attendance to schedule.

· Manage executive staff and Board travel and hotel arrangements as needed.

· Coordinate meeting and event planning for CEO.

Ø  Provide administrative support to the Senior Management Team.

Ø  Maintain a professional attitude and attire that promotes the mission, vision and values of Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight & Hearing;

Ø  Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in a small organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities.

Ø  A personal commitment to organ donation required.

 

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Ø  Ability to interact with Board of Trustees, co-workers, and senior management to positively represent SightLife.

Ø  Ability to occasionally work weekends and evenings.

Ø  Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.

Ø  Proficiency at taking minutes at Board of Trustee meetings.

Ø  Ability to successfully and simultaneously handle multiple tasks.

 

Education and/or Equivalent Experience:

Ø  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
