We have an excellent opportunity for a Go Red for Women Director in our Maumee, OH office.The GRFW Director implements the Toledo Go Red For Women Luncheon and is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key corporate contacts. Obtains corporate sponsorships for the GRFW event to achieve the $100K goal for 2009.1. Responsible for planning, development, maintenance, implementation and evaluation of GRFW market activities.2. Provides primary staff support, in the areas of volunteer recruitment, orientation and training, event logistics, year round planning, sponsorship solicitation and evaluation of GRFW event.3. Assists in the development of a strategic fund raising plan, including goal setting, market potentials, objectives, strategies, evaluation and cost of effective techniques. Monitors the volunteer recruitment, budgets and implementation of the plan.4. Responsible for the achievement of the GRFW financial goal and for the achievement of the objectives in volunteer development and management and corporate sponsorship cultivation. Monitors and fulfills both procurement and financial goals.5. Assists in planning, implementation and evaluation of both live and/or silent auctions and other revenue generating activities with the GRFW event. 6. Serves as American Heart Association staff and support to the annual GRFW event and the committee and its sub-committees. Schedules regular committee meetings to track progress and update timeline. 7. Recruits, trains, organizes, and supports the volunteers of the Sponsorship Committee, Auction Committee, Logistics Committee, Production Committee. Oversees the recruitment of Honorary Co-Chairs and Honoree, as appropriate.8. Maintains appropriate records for the GRFW event.9. Functions as staff liaison between the GRFW Committees and the Division Board of Directors.10. In accordance with best practices, becomes proficient with current GRFW software program and utilizes software to track and produce reports to evaluate event. 11. Effectively supervises and directs support staff in administrative work necessary to achieve objectives.12. Performs other duties as the need is apparent or as assigned. ' Minimum two years work experience in special event fund-raising, demonstrated knowledge of the fundraising principals, practices, techniques and current trends.' Experience in event planning, organizing, consultation and volunteer management.' Ability to attract, recruit, manage and evaluate high level volunteers.' Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication, including large and small group presentations, group facilitation and training.' Ability to effectively supervise and direct the work of administrative staff.' Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects.' Ability to read, comprehend and analyze number goals, as well as fundraising reports.' Knowledge of group dynamics and group process.' Ability and willingness to travel within assigned geographical territory, to work evenings and occasional weekends.' Ability to provide reliable transportation.'
