Human Resources Coordinator
SUMMARY
Provides administrative and human resource support for all department staff. Answer telephones, manages confidential files, prepares, posts and tracks job openings, and assists with meeting, greeting, testing candidates for interview process. Supports department projects including volunteer staffing, meetings, Human Resource Committee Meetings, Celebration of Volunteers, All Staff Meeting, and staff recognition events. Accurately manages human resource database, reports, employee and volunteer manuals. Supports payroll functions, open enrollment and benefits coordination. Adheres to policies and procedures, confidentiality and acts as a role model for all employees and volunteers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Accurate processing of payroll by transmitting, receiving and loading of payroll information into HRIS/Payroll systems (PeopleSoft, ADP Payroll System & NHQ SPIN)
· Maintain accurate, up to date data and manual files.
· General administrative support for all meetings, interviews, mail processing, answering phones, FedEx, scheduling and preparing materials for meetings.
· Manage initial steps in the interview process, including orientation, PI, Background checks, file preparation, screening/meeting/greeting candidates and coordinate all post offer activities.
· Administrative support for bi-monthly All Staff Meeting, quarterly HR Committee Meetings, Staff & Volunteer Recognition Event, including room reservation, agenda, transcription of meeting notes, food, clean up, and final PowerPoint presentations.
· Prepare required photos of volunteers and paid staff for access key cards, process background checks and manage manual and data files.
· Accurate communication of employee and volunteer policies and procedures.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Train and/or supervise department volunteers as needed.
· Assist with data and manual file maintenance and organization within department.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or Human Resources or related field along with 2-3 years of Human Resources.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to respond effectively to complaints. Ability to write and communicate clearly and concisely.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current and valid driver’s license.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ADP Payroll and PeopleSoft HR.
