Internet Content Manager

AAHSA’s commitment is to create the future of aging services through quality people can trust (www.aahsa.org).  AAHSA seeks an Internet Content Manager to assist with the overall management of AAHSA’s online communication strategy, including the management and delivery of content via the Web, blogs, and email newsletters, under the leadership of the Vice President of Member Communications & Media Relations.  The Internet Content Manager will be responsible for the management of the content, templates, organization and information architecture of AAHSA’s Web sites. He or she will work with AAHSA content experts to design information architecture; to edit, proofread, and write content; to provide guidance and support on content delivery; and to ensure Web sites meet established content standards. The Internet Content Manager will work on projects as needed, including implementing a content management system; implementing a customer relationship management system for electronic newsletters and announcements; integrating Web 2.0 features including tagging, blogging and podcasting into Web sites; and working with developers on any technical challenges in displaying the content.  This position will also provide recommendations to AAHSA leadership on Web strategy.

 

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, E-Commerce, English or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.  Candidates must have three or more years of direct experience managing Web-based applications such as content management systems and e-mail programs to send html newsletters.  Knowledge of Web analytics tools, preferably Google Analytics, required; HTML and CSS skills a plus.  Candidates should have a strong attention to detail, an ability to manage multiple tasks, and excellent skills in editing, proofreading, planning, and project management.  Position requires strong communication skills to foster cooperation from a variety of stakeholders.
