Los Angeles BioMedical Research Institute Status:   Full Time, Employee Location:   Torrance, CA 90303 Salary:   43,296.00 - 65,112.00 USD /year Industry:   Medical/Health Education:   Bachelor's Degree Company:   Los Angeles BioMedical Research Institute Fax:   310-222-3640 Reference Code:   07-197LB MCH Specialist II (Trainer) Site Operations Job Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Nutrition, Maternal and Child Health or related field.  Minimum three years experience as a WIC Site Supervisor.  Advanced degree and relevant experience may substitute for WIC Site Supervisor experience.  Experience developing and conducting staff training activities.  Strong teaching, interpersonal and written communication skills.  Proficient Spanish language oral communication skills.  Valid California Driver's License, proof of personal auto insurance. Discription of Duties: · Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates ongoing staff development activities, including ongoing training for paraprofessional, clerical, and site supervisor staff· Develops training programs for newly hired or promoted professional, paraprofessional, and clerical staff· Develops, reviews, and selects appropriate supervisory and management education and staff training materials in coordination with the Chief, Site Operations· Participates in the assessment of staff training needs and priorities· Plans, develops, and conducts staff training in coordination with other SLAHP Department staff· Participates in the recruitment, selection and orientation of new clerical and paraprofessional staff· Assists in the development and updating of Site Operations Department policies and procedures· Works collaboratively with the Site Operations team regarding the collection and analysis of data to monitor WIC Program operations at the sites· Provides technical assistance and guidance to WIC site professional, paraprofessional, and clerical staff as directed· Assumes responsibilities of the Area Manager, as directed by the Chief, Site Operations This position requires a successful criminal conviction search for employmentApply in person: South Los Angeles Health Projects (WIC) at LABioMed Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at 2930 West Imperial Hwy, Suite 601 Inglewood, CA 90303.
