Maintanence Supervisor

Battery Park City Parks Conservancy (BPCPC), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the management of the parks within Battery Park City has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Supervisor.

 

The primary function of BPCPCÕs Warehouse Supervisor is to ensure, ALL requested Products be in the right Place at the right Period of Time, in order to maintain the daily work flow of BPCPCÕs nearly 36 acres of parkland. 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in setting up and operating a inventory management system, able to operate and work in high-elevation environment on Tran-Stacker, performing multi-task assignments, able to work independently as well as in a team environment.  Must be able to coordinate the logistics for loading of BPCPC maintenance trucks. Required to work in all weather conditions. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends, as well as,  flexibility in schedule to accommodate a variable work volume on a daily basis taking into consideration seasonal activities, staffing and vacation schedules.

 

Also required:

· Experience in Parks environment or a related industry a plus
· HS diploma or GED or vocational education
§ Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in warehousing and inspection functions or similar
· Minimum of 2 years of Operations or Logistics experience
§ Experience with high-rise warehouse, low bay storage systems and warehouse management system.
§ Forklift training certification, OSHA certification is a must.
§ Must have a valid U.S. DriverÕs License, CDL preferred
§ Certificate of Fitness
§ Must be able to show proof of legal US work status
§ Must be able to lift minimum of 50 pounds
§ Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English
§ Bi-lingual a plus, Spanish speaking a plus
