Position Description:

***** RE-POST****While remaining HIPAA compliant, develop long-term philanthropic relationships with an assigned group of donors and prospects, with the ultimate goal being to solicit these individuals for a major gift to the Hospital.• Maintain a portfolio of 150-175 prospects rated at 100K and higher.• Manage at least two medical specialty areas within the Hospital and lead a comprehensive program to identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from the families of patients treated in each respective medical specialty area.•Conduct a minimum of 120-180 face-to-face visits yearly and 10 phone calls daily.•Submit a minimum of 40 proposals to prospects, minimally at the Children's Circle of Care level, adding a minimum of $2 million to the pipeline annually.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least five years of experience in Development, preferably at both the annual fund and major gift level.Must possess initiative, leadership, creative energy, well-refined organizational skills and proven expertise as a fundraiser. A superb communicator who is also a builder of relationships and who relates well with varied constituents.•Strong personal and persuasive skills; strong negotiating skills.•Sensitivity to the needs of families of seriously ill children.•Ability to independently plan, execute and monitor progress.•Ability to relate at all levels across the organization - whether physicians, senior executives, board members, volunteers, prospects, or donors.•Strong writing skills a must.•Advanced Microsoft Office and database experience required. Raiser’s Edge experience preferred.
