Marketing/Communications and Business Development Manager

Organizational Overview:
Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP) is an international professional association focused on supporting the 100,000+ individuals who work in companies partnering in strategic alliances. This unique profession has evolved over the last decade in many corporate sectors eg. Bio-Pharma and IT/Communications and is finally catching on in other sectors as well.

Position overview: ASAP is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to formulate and implement a strategic marketing communications plan that will enhance the visibility and imaging of ASAP and its programs and services. In addition, this individual will be the webmaster of the organization and oversee the development and management of its Certification program and other programs of benefit to ASAP's membership.

1) Events: Work with CHI to ensure marketing for joint events such as the ASAP  Summit.  Work with Chapters and Councils to assist them with marketing support for their special events.

 

2) Publications: Market all ASAP publications.  Develop all advertising/sponsorship marketing materials for ASAP initiatives.  Manage copy, design, and distribution.

 

3) Website: Plan, organize and create all information on website.

 

4) Membership: Work with Membership Director to develop and implement a recruitment/retention plan with collateral for all levels of ASAP membership.

 

5) Public Relations:  Maximize positive public exposure (pre/post) for ASAP events and initiatives by keeping the press informed of ASAP activities.

 

6) Committees: Provide staff support, direction, and assistance to the ASAP Marketing and Web Committees

 

7) Certification: Manage and further develop the ASAP Certification Program as a self-sustaining line of business including P & L, marketing and branding and  strategic planning.

 

8) Develop and deliver educational programs to support certification and  professional development

 

9) Manage AMA and other partner relationships focused on delivering ASAP endorsed education and  ASAP branding within their member communities

 

10) Serve as staff liaison to Standards Advisory Board and other certification related committees.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS:  Individual should have a Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing with strong written and verbal communication skills.  Computer/graphic design skills in a desktop publishing program, and strong marketing experience required. Certification or comparable program management experience preferred. Applicants should submit a recent salary history.
