Marketing Manager - Non Profit

The Intrepid Museum is looking for an organized, energetic and experienced professional to join our Marketing team to manage development, design and production of marketing programs and execution of the Museum’s overall marketing plan.

 

This is a great opportunity to be a part of our exciting and interactive team!  The Intrepid Museum is gearing up for the re-opening of our new and improved museum complex for 2008!

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 Develop Museum strategic marketing plan to improve museum visitorship and increase brand awareness. Develop, propose, and execute marketing programs and events. Assist in developing the media placement & buying plan as well as monitor the ROI for all mediums. Plan and oversee execution of promotional activities. Research, improve and develop marketing partnerships and cross-promotional opportunities, submitting marketing, media and program proposals and insuring execution of plans on-time and on budget. Manage development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support overall marketing effort. Track Marketing and Marketing-department budgets.  Research and develop new business partnerships and cross-promotional opportunities. Communicate with outside design & branding agency as well as other marketing-related vendors. Provide analysis, and regular status reports on marketing, media and promotional programs. Plan and conduct market research and review analysis of marketing surveys. Perform other duties as required by management.

 

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in Marketing or a related field with a minimum of 4 years related experience or equivalent combination of both.  Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently are required.  An ability to write reports, business correspondence and marketing materials is a must.  Qualified candidates will have top-notch presentation and marketing skills, as well as an ability to calculate figures and analyze general business periodicals.
