Multimedia Editor – News
As an integral member of our team, you will primarily develop content for the website, covering events, projects and programs ranging from the ongoing efforts to eradicate polio to small club fundraisers.

Overview of Responsibilities
Overseeing and directing the news calendar
Managing online publications
Developing plans for fast-paced event coverage
Writing stories that make world events relevant to local Rotarians
Producing podcasts
Creating rich media products to increase interaction among website visitors
Cultivating features and news for The Rotarian, Rotary’s monthly magazine
Acting as liaison between communications staff and PR
Teaming with the international editor to ensure proper coverage of world events
Partnering with communications staff to develop a cohesive message and tone

Qualifications/Skills
Experience producing news in a range of media, including print, video, audio and photos
Demonstrated writing, grammar and spelling ability
Knowledge of HTML and website architecture
Excellent interpersonal-communication and time-management skills
Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or a related field
