NETWORK TECHNICIAN - PART TIME

The LA Conservation Corps is a private, non-profit organization that has  been helping at-risk young people develop themselves since 1986.  To date, more than 20,000 young people have participated in the Corps classes and service projects, learning new skills while contributing to the quality of life for all of us in the greater Los Angeles area.  

We are currently seeking a Network Technician to work part-time (Mon-Fri, hours to determined) performing routine hardware and software troubleshooting and systems maintenance functions in a Windows networking environment.  Responsibilites include supporting the Information Technology Department and assisting in the maintenance of Windows based computers; providing support in setting up, configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting workstation and servers; performing website updates and redesign; and monitoring and maintaining network file support and domain structure integrity by assisting in network administration, access rights, server system maintenance routines, and running system optimization utilities.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or an Associate’s degree and currently attending college), and knowledge of Windows Operating systems and Microsoft Office related products; knowledge of MS Office and Accounting software packages highly desirable. Excellent oral and written communication and exceptional interpersonal skills; the ability to structure tasks, establish priorities and set goals; the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high volume work environment, to train others, and to effectively perform the physical requirements of the job are also needed.
 
We offer a salary range of $13.00-$15.00 per hour (reflects entire salary range).  A starting salary higher than $13.00 per hour is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements.
