Position Responsibilities

·  Assist with aspects of network administration and security including HIPAA compliance, which includes maintaining, upgrading, and monitoring network infrastructure including but not limited to Windows and Exchange servers, spam filters, SAN administration, and terminal servers.

·  Duties will include but not be limited to installing and configuring new PCs (Windows XP), adding these PCs to an Active Directory Domain, copying user files to their new computers, installing Microsoft Office 2003.

·  Configuring Outlook 2003 to connect to the Exchange server, installing Antivirus software and assist users with applications and troubleshooting hardware.

·  This position will also be responsible for assisting in the administration of the help desk which includes monitoring the help desk and assigning unassigned work orders.

·  Monitor and maintain system backups.

·  Analyze and research industry trends and recommendations and implement security measures for company systems.

·  Troubleshoot network performance issues with a solid analytical approach to problem identification and resolution to quickly resolve system failures to minimize outages.

·  Oversee support of the network, email, and the infrastructure as well as continued implementation/support of future releases.

·  Plan the design, installation, modification, and operation of information systems based on standard systems development life cycle methodologies.

·  Evaluate vendor proposals for purchases of hardware, software, consulting, and technical services.

·  Able to work on team led projects as well as individual projects.

·  Use time management skills to handle and schedule own time.

·  Must be able to communicate orally and in writing to all user levels.

·  Demonstrate a positive customer service attitude.



 

Requirements:  Associate’s degree in IT or related field and and three years relevant  experience.Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer 2000/2003 (MCSE) or equivalent experience.  Must obtain appropriate background clearances.  Must have transportation and valid drivers license. Must be willing to travel to off site and out of state locations
