Operations Associate
Title/ Position: Operations Associate
Reports to: Associate Director of Program Services
Location: Downtown Boston
Purpose:
The Operations Associate is responsible forproviding support to BGCB’s Operations Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limitedto, management of administrative functions, special projects and operationsrelated event coordination; assistance with Club & Board related activitiesand communications.
Responsibilities:Act as liaison between Operations Department and BGCB sites Manage volunteer/mentor program (with support from Associate Director of Program Services), including volunteer recruitment, orientation, recognition, and database management Manage agency-wide programs, including but not limited to BGCB’s scholarship and Youth of the Year programs Support Operation related events such as staff day and the annual teen recognition dinnerAssist Operations Team in evaluating potential new partners and collaboratorsCreate and distribute monthly attendance reportsAssist Associate Director of Program Services with facilitation of Program Team Meetings and support Program Team related events. Maintain relationships with summer camp partnersTrack and distribute non-financial donations, including ticket donations Assist Director of Operations with the annual Partners & Collaborators report Collect, store, and distribute Operations related information - program event dates and details, board bookOther duties as assigned
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years experience preferredAbility to manage a project from planning and implementation to follow-upExcellent organizational, research, planning and implementation skills; detail-oriented with strong follow-through skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously; ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact and communicate with a wide variety of audiences, including staff, board members, volunteers, key individuals at supporting and partnering organizationsStrong reasoning skills including the ability to solve practical day-to-day problems and use good judgment in dealing with a variety of concrete variables.MS Office proficiency and web competency required. Comfortable with database management.Ability to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness and flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for operations and/or agency events.Valid driver’s license required. Ability to drive to BGCB locations as needed (either via public transportation or company vehicle).
