Planned Gifts Fundraiser (Texas)

We are seeking goal oriented, planned gift professional who has a proven record of identifying, cultivating and soliciting planned gift donors, prospects, and selected financial professionals with the tenacity to make growth happen for our South Central regional territory (Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona and Louisiana). The right candidate will bring a passion for the cause, exceptional sales/solicitation skills and experience with a chapter (affiliate) organizational structure.

We will rely on you to:
Assist assigned chapters in implementing a planned gift program, working with the chapters and their staff members to discover donors and prospects and, coordinating with appropriate staff, help those donors and prospects make planned gifts.
Identify, cultivate and solicit donors and prospective donors through personal visits and by other means.
Work with attorneys, CPAs, insurance and other financial professionals to help facilitate planned and other gifts to the Association.
Develop strategies to meet planned gift and revenue objectives and increase the number of planned gift donors, including Founders Society members.
Participate in the writing and production of promotional and marketing materials.
Develop and monitor budgets for region.
Use fundraising software for donor record keeping purposes and in providing gift proposals.
Participate in the orientation of volunteers, assist in staffing appropriate committees and subcommittees of the National and Chapter Boards, and provide other staff support as needed.
Assist in the administration of donor recognition activities, such as the Founders Society, in region.
Prepare monthly reports for internal and external reporting purposes.




Requirements
Bachelors Degree preferred
Advanced degree and/or specialized training in planned gifts, major gifts, estate planning, or financial planning.
A minimum of two years experience in development, major and/or planned gifts, or in estate or financial planning
Experience with computer based donor tracking software and/or planned gift or financial analysis software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of planned gift vehicles, investments, tax codes, and/or fundraising.
Must be able to travel within assigned region.
