Program Director/ Assistant Program Director

Program Director or Program Director In Training Eckerd Youth Alternatives, a leader in alternative treatment programs for youth-at-risk, is seeking a Program Director/Program Director In Training for our wilderness educational camp located in Hendersonville, NC. This is a supervisory position sharing operational and programmatic responsibility for a seven-day-per-week, round-the-clock residential program. You will provide training and documentation of training for all counselors, provide meaningful performance evaluations and growth plans. You will be responsible to coordinate a time off schedule for staff coverage, ensure therapeutic and educational components of small group living and plan and implement trip programs This position also involves performing periodic campsite inspections to ensure safety and security of campers. Housing for this position is available on campus in the beautiful North Carolina Mountains.

Must enjoy working in the outdoors, be able to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends. Bachelors Degree required, preferably in social sciences or therapy. Minimum 4 years directly related experience required. Experience in planning, scheduling, and budgeting. Experience in group-based programming and group work modalities is preferred.
