Receptionist

 

The mission of The Wallace Foundation is to enable institutions to expand learning and enrichment opportunities for all people. We do this by supporting and sharing effective ideas and practices. To achieve our mission, we have three areas of focus: strengthening education leadership to improve student achievement; improving after-school learning opportunities; and expanding participation in arts and culture.

 

The receptionist is responsible for the smooth and orderly operation of the main reception area.  This position is a critical part of the operations unit and reports to the Office Services Manager.

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

   Answer, screen and route all in-coming telephone calls. Greet and announce all visitors; maintain visitors list on Kastle security system. Maintain computerized Foundation-wide resource and conference room calendars; manage and control conference rooms. Assist with administrative and office services tasks as necessary.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

   Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.  Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.  Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Proficient in Microsoft Office.  Previous receptionist experience preferred.
