Registered School Nurse

Eckerd Youth Alternatives, Inc., a leader in alternative treatment programs for at-risk youth, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our outdoor therapeutic program in Kerr Lake, NC. At Eckerd Youth Alternatives we serve youth and families at-risk, and we treat each child in a comprehensive and caring manner. As a Registered Nurse, you will review client records noting health care needs, document health care progress, administer necessary medications, provide health education, and refer children for care when required treatment is beyond the scope of nursing. You’ll also build relationships with the youth, and know that you’re performing a vital role in enhancing their lives. You will also serve as a member of the facility Leadership Team, assisting in alignment of the program with Leadership Goals.

Hours are for full-time, year round work. Valid state Registered Nurse license and RN diploma or degree required. 2 years nursing experience (preferably with children/adolescents) preferred. Should have understanding of psychiatry, pediatric medicine, and psychotropic medication. Member of facility Leadership Team, assisting in the alignment of the program with Leadership goals. Must be a strong team player.
