Research Analyst

The Texas Credit Union League (TCUL) currently has a position available for a Research Analyst.  This position is responsible for designing and conducting data research and interpreting and analyzing economic, financial, and various statistical data. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, collecting and analyzing data on credit union member demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits of potential new credit union members; conducting and designing research projects for TCUL and subsidiaries; compile, analyze, and develop reports to explain market trends and graphic illustrations on research findings; prepare and present results of research findings; maintain databases on data collected; evaluate research needs for internal clients and recommend appropriate methodology for projects such as: profiling/segmentation, concept testing, and new product development.



A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or related field, including course work in research methodology and/or the quantitative sciences or equivalent work experience, along with a minimum of three years experience working within a financial services environment is required.  Knowledge of and ability to perform quantitative analysis, including economic, technical and financial analysis; working knowledge of data management, including database and spreadsheet applications, with the ability to use statistical models and various computer applications, is also required.  Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as, interaction and report writing skills.  Knowledge of the credit union movement and a Master’s degree is a plus.
