RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR

Germaine Lawrence is New England’s leading provider of residential treatment for adolescent girls. With an outstanding success rate, Germaine Lawrence has earned the reputation as the most effective program of its type in the region. We are located in the Greater Boston area accessible to public transportation. We offer programs over a full range of mental health issues, including specialties in:
• Eating disorders
• Sexual offending
• Self injurious behaviors
• Prostitution and runaways
• Short term diagnostics
• Cutting


At Germaine Lawrence, staff are valued team members dedicated to helping troubled girls rebuild their lives. Residential Counselors provide:
• Individual counseling
• Lead individual and group activities
• Participate in group therapy and treatment planning
• Assist with daily living tasks
• Implement our behavior management program



Germaine Lawrence is highly committed to our staff’s professional and personal growth. All staff are provided with rich training and supervision to enhance their skills, and support their advancement in the agency. Each week several hours are dedicated to staff development, including in-service training, individual supervision, and on-floor coaching to provide the education and support needed to be a successful counselor.


Our residential Counselors are a valuable and integral part of our therapy team. This is a full time position with full benefits including generous time off provisions and overtime availability. Evening and weekend hours are required. We offer opportunities for rapid advancement and excellent benefits.
