Seeking CFO candidates for $4M non-profit organization in Greater Boston

We are currently conducting a confidential search for a Director of Finance for our fast-growing non-profit organization.

 

The Director of Finance has overall responsibility for the organization’s accounting practices, the maintenance of fiscal records and the preparation of its financial reports.  This position will work closely with the Executive Director to develop annual and program budgets, as well as evaluating the profitability of existing and proposed programs.  The Director of Finance oversees the work of the Accounting Manager and reports to the Executive Director. 

 

Qualified candidates will have a comprehensive financial background including 8-10 years of related management and financial reporting experience.  Three years or more in the non-profit or government sectors would be beneficial.  In depth knowledge of accounting, tax and regulatory rules, regulations and pronouncements related to non-profit organizations is critical, as well as proficiency with computerized general ledger and Microsoft Office software. 

A college degree with a concentration in Accounting is required, advanced degree such as CPA or MBA is preferred.  In addition, flexibility, good sense of humor, and unquestionable personal integrity are all important qualities for this position.
