Senior Graphic Designer

Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation:

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, the Air Force One Pavilion, the Center for Public Affairs and the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center.  Located in Simi Valley, California the Library houses over 50 million pages of Gubernatorial, Presidential and personal papers, an extraordinary collection of photographs and film, and thousands of gifts and artifacts chronicling the lives of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. 

 

Job Qualifications/Responsibilities:

The person hired for this position must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong organizational capabilities and the ability to multitask.  This person must also be able to be a part of team and have the ability to work for several different office directors at the same time.  Experience in graphic design required – portfolio will be required during interview process. 

 

The ideal candidate will possess well-developed page layout and creative design skills for print and web including, but not limited to: Brochures and marketing flyers (including general copywriting) Library signage and lobby posters Print advertisements Quarterly mailers Event invitations and programsAnnual Ronald Reagan calendarMuseum Store flyers and catalogsHTML e-mails Static and rich media banner ads

 

Additional tasks include:Work with outside vendors for outsourcing and printing of materials/projectsBe the staff photographer – knowledge of digital photography and manipulation of photos requiredManage the Foundation’s digital photo collectionCreate, manage and order staff identification badges

 

Minimum Requirements8+ years of experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communications and Computer GraphicsProficiency on a Mac and Pc using state-of-the-art software to produce accurate and innovative graphic design, to include Adobe CS3, QuarkXpress, Flash, Dreamweaver, HTML and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointComprehensive knowledge of graphic design principles, a wide variety of media, and production methods Demonstrated excellence in graphic design, typography, color sense and paper selection and a high degree of innovation through the professional portfolio Excellent analytic thinking and creative problem solving skills for visual information design Candidate will be a supportive team member as well as work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills requiredFlexible and adaptable to change Detailed oriented with the ability to follow directionsGraphic Design Degree required
