Under the direction of the Director of the Office of Human Resources, the Sr. Human Resources Generalist will provide human resources services to all departments, divisions, programs and staff within the Agency. Work in conjunction with outside agencies in preparation and submission of required documents and/or reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process new-hire documentation, review for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to Agency hiring policies. Follow-up with hiring managers to obtain missing information. Assist with input of employee information into HRIS database.Process new employees including review of documents for completion and accuracy, and verification of credentials as required. Review and sign-off on completed forms. Input required information in on-line background check system. Oversee fingerprinting process for new employees in Mental Health and MRDD programs. Act as liaison with Department of Mental Health and Office of Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities. Troubleshoot problems, track results and update employment status with state agencies. Keep abreast of changes in state regulations.Act as coordinator for 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity Plan. Disseminate plan information on request and follow-up with plan manager to resolve issues.Conduct internal investigations related to employee complaints. Compile and present findings.Act as resource person to various levels of staff within the agency to provide interpretation of HR policies.Provide supervision for Secretary and Administrative Secretary.Utilize HRIS system to generate employment reports as needed.Work on HR projects/assignments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree with 4 year’s Human Resources Generalist experience. PHR Certification preferred. Experience with Ceridian HRIS System preferred. Excellent computer skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
