Technician

The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) seeks talented candidates for the position of Technician.

The incumbent shall be responsible for day to day maintenance and administration of all technical systems supporting the needs of PBS Operations. This will include installation, testing, troubleshooting for all production, post-production and broadcast technical systems. As part of this effort, we are seeking a Technician who will:Maintain IP based Broadcast systems, including but not limited to troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades, on both hardware and software aspects of the systemsAssist in design and installation of new systems and equipment

Candidates must possess 2 years experience in an engineering / maintenance role in a 24x7x265 broadcast environment; ability to understand failure mechanisms of complex electronic systems with mechanical, electrical and software interactions. A BS/AS in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science / IT or a closely associated technical field desired.
