Thresholds is seeking a Bus Driver to drive a Pace Bus to transport Thresholds members related to member employment. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Provide transportation for Thresholds members using a Thresholds provided vehicle.

2. Provide accurate and timely information to supervisors on all topics and issues related to the operation of the agency and the well being of its members. This includes anything which may affect the safety of the members.

3. Arrange for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle for the vehicles s/he primarily drives.  The condition of the vehicle and the safety of the members is to be of utmost concern. 

4. Ensure all CARF standards and Illinois laws relating to the transportation of members are followed.  This shall include but not be limited to securing first aid equipment and fire suppression equipment in the vehicle.

5. Collect transportation related fees from members as assigned, issue receipts and perform all paperwork associated with the duties assigned.

6. Assist members into and out of van by steadying, guiding and partially supporting individual.

7. Exercises judgment in escorting members on sidewalks, driveways, parking lots and streets to prevent falls.

8. Accepts and delivers miscellaneous packages such as purses, bags, papers and medication.

To drive a Thresholds' vehicle you must be 23 years of age with a valid Illinois Driver's License.  Additionally, you must meet all of our insurance carrier's requirements.  A Department of Motor Vehicles check will be run on your Driver's License at least annually.  If at any point, you are not cleared for coverage, your employment would be terminated.
