Vocational Evaluation Technician

 

Goodwill Southern California is currently seeking a Vocational Evaluation Technician for our Workforce and Career Development department.

This position will be responsible for providing vocational evaluation and other academic testing services to program participants. develop an evaluation plan with each participant based on referral questions, participant interest and needs as well as stated physical and mental capabilities. based on the evaluation plan, determine the appropriate testing instruments to be used to obtain the necessary evaluation information. Monitor the day-to-day activities of the evaluation, make necessary modifications to the evaluation plan, and other document observed findings. Prepare an evaluation report for the referral source and/or the participant. The report will include the overall test results, a clear description of behavior observations, and specific vocational recommendations based on the participants strengths/limitations, abilities, and interest.

The ideal candidate must have  a BA degree in human services or related field. 2 years experience in counseling or training in recognized human services field. 2 years experience with under served youth, disabled or disadvantaged populations. Strong computer skills. Strong organizational and communications skills. Own transportation, a valid CDL and current auto insurance, as required by law.
