Youth Counselor

We currently have 2 Full-time and 1 Part-time positions available in our 2 residential programs. One is a Group Home which serves 10 adolescent females ages 14-18. The second is a Supervised Transitional Living Home that serves 5 girls, ages 16-21. Both homes are supervised by a team of dedicated Youth Counselors, who work day, evening and overnight shifts.
Responsibilities of the position include: behavior management of residents, role modeling, transporting residents to and from appointments, preparing meals, organizing educational activities for residents not yet placed in school, dispensing medications, physical plant management, and various other duties as necessary. Each full-time shift works at least one weekend day. While we try to minimize the need for overtime, it is necessary at times for emergency coverage and/or vacation coverage.
Minimum Requirements for Youth Counselor: Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field with 6 months experience working with children in a group setting; or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (social work, psychology, etc.). NJ Driver’s License required. Bi-Lingual(spanish) a plus.

POSITION A: Part-time Youth Counselor: Sat 5pm-11pm, Sun 5pm-11pm.
POSITION B: Full-Time Youth Counselor: Wed 10:30am-5:30pm, Thur 1:30pm-11pm, Fri 1:30pm-11pm, Sat 9am-11pm.
POSITION C: Full-Time Youth Counselor: Tues 2:30pm-11:30pm, Wed 11:30am-11pm, Fri 1pm-11pm, Sat 2pm-11:30pm.
