Job Description:Production Test TechnicianPOSITION SUMMARY: This position will perform testing and troubleshooting of electronic circuits utilized in a complex implantable medical device. The individual will also assist the engineers in developing, fabricating, documenting and evaluating the test systems that will be used in production.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform tests on electronic circuits using test equipment. Perform electronic troubleshooting and repair circuits and fixtures as required. Responsible for following inspection and manufacturing documentation to operate test equipment. Assists in developing written procedures for electronic testing and troubleshooting. Assists in the design, development, documentation and evaluation of test systems. Build prototype circuits and test fixtures as directed by engineer(s). Responsible for documenting and notifying supervisor or engineering of product discrepancies. Responsible for following cGMP and ISO requirements. Responsible for assisting with laboratory testing. Responsible for maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and for following prescribed safety regulations. Responsible for maintaining proper control of inventory, handling scrap, and dealing with non-conformances. Responsible for helping supervisor with administrative tasks. Adhere to established procedures and quality control measures. Responsible for maintaining a professional image and attitude toward those inside and outside the company. Other duties as assigned.POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 2 years technical college certificate in electronics, or equivalent. Minimum 5 years experience in testing, prototyping, evaluating and troubleshooting digital and analog electronic circuits, preferably medical devices. Ability to read and understand detailed schematics, instructions, manufacturing procedures and drawings. Capability to use electronic equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, multimeters, automated test equipment, etc. as well as microscopes, soldering irons, tweezers, crimpers, cutters and other hand tools. Ability to self-start and complete tasks with minimum supervision. Capability to work in a clean room environment and wear appropriate gowns, hair nets and gloves. Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination to troubleshoot medical devices, including unaided and microscope visual inspection. Some lifting to 30 lbs. Demonstrated ability to train new assembly technicians on test operations. Good teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills. A demonstrated commitment to company values.
