Account Group Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

Manages all activities of market research studies or projects for a group or business unit.  May also serve as the primary contact for the largest or most critical accounts.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manages all activities of assigned staff to include work assignments, training and development and performance review.

· Sets direction and oversees all phases of market research studies or projects ensuring that all activities are done accurately, efficiently, within budget and in a timely manner.

· Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external clients.

· Meets with business customers on a regular basis to discuss ways to develop additional business.

· Recommends changes or modifications to existing procedures that can lead to improved service.

· Generates reports and participates in presentations which address client issues.

· Provides guidance and supervision to staff to ensure the accurate and timely execution of research studies or projects.

· Participates in the development of financial plans and budgets.

· Stays current on trends and developments in the area of market research.

· Performs other essential duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent in experience.  Master’s degree, preferred.

· Minimum of eight years market research experience, including supervisory experience.

· Thorough understanding of the organization’s philosophy and objectives as they relate to performing market research projects.

· Thorough knowledge of the department’s policies and practices as they relate to market research initiatives.

· Ability to supervise, direct and handle personnel and training issues.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external clients.

· Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions which impact quality of service.

· Excellent organizational and project management skills.

· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

· Results oriented.

· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems.
