Account Manager (1409)

This role's primary purposes are to help hotels be more successful at a sales and marketing level with the objective to grow the Hotel Partners revenue through all relevant activities. Develop and execute a specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time lined (SMART) business plan; manage all commercial aspects of the relationship between Hotel Partner and Utell. Recruit new member hotels in line with the strategic criteria; achieve profitable increases and business growth in all Pegasus services by developing and building upon relationships across a specific portfolio of accounts.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:


• To work with Hotel Partners at a Sales and Marketing Level to grow revenue through Utell
• Sell additional products/services to Hotel Partners
Renew agreements with assigned Hotel Partners
• Identify key gap destinations and portfolio and recruit new hotels to fill identified gaps
• Ensure all internal databases are always accurate
• Keep operational costs in line with the allocated budget
• Achieve agreed revenue growth from the sale of additional products and services to Hotel Partners
• Achieve agreed revenue growth through the execution of the business / marketing plan
• Report outcomes for assigned markets on a monthly basis.

Required Skills:

• Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Effective Networker

Experience Required:

• Experience working within a sales and marketing team within a hotel or a demand customer (e.g. TMC, Online Agency, Consortia)
• Experience writing and executing business plans
• Proven sales and negotiation experience
• Experience in building and developing relationships with personnel at board/senior management level
• Knowledge of the principles of revenue and yield maximization
• Good experience and understanding of the Hotel industry, its trends and issues
• Experience of overcoming objections and bringing about the required actions
• Understanding of the consortia/TMC/corporate market
• Experience with Salesforce a plus
