Accountant / Full Charge Bookkeeper

An Entrepreneur with a diverse group of small businesses is looking for a highly motivated individual to handle the accounting functions for his companies. The right candidate will be happy wearing many different hats while being in charge of all accounting aspects: A/P, A/R, Inventory, and G/L. 

Requirements- A/R, A/P, G/L-T/B functions for several companies.


- Payroll processing for a limited number of employees, including P/R tax deposits and qrtly. tax returns.

- Intercompany reconciliations and billings

- Assist the owner in administering various tasks for the companies

- Organize tax data for submission to outside accounting firm

- Records are maintained in QuickBooks and Excel.

- Reconcile bank and brokerage statements

- Compose correspondence; open and sort mail; maintain files

 

- Capable of independent thought and work


- Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel and Word experience required.

- Several years of accounting/bookkeeping experience,

- Productive; aggressive about getting work done without being asked

- Organized; neat and orderly with files, correspondence, etc.

- Detail oriented; accurate with calculations and correspondence

- Good judgement and problem-solving ability

- Trustworthy; will maintain confidentiality
