Accounts Payable Manager

An Entertainment Company located in Manhattan is looking for an Accounts Payable Manager who will be responsible for:

 

- Oversee the entire accounts payable functions for a four person high volume accounts payable department by using Oracle, by providing leadership and guidance and troubleshooting and streamlining of complex accounts payable issues

- Coordinate department's work schedules, distribution of duties, accuracy, and ensured proper compliance with established accounts payable policies and procedures

- Support internal and external audit requests by successfully reconciling detailed reports to General Ledger accounts and verifying payments to vendors

- Work closely with purchasing, inventory, and other departments to ensure timely resolution of problems

- Direct all accounts payable operations

- Train and develop the staff

- Streamline the accounts payable operation and set up proper departmental procedures

- Develop statistical measurements for invoice processing

- Insured 1099 and sales tax reporting are completed on time without penalty

- Deal with vendors on a day-to-day basis

- Verify the validity of non-recurring invoices, check requests, and expense reports

- Close accounts payable on a timely bases and process any transactions that are important such as voiding checks, vendor trial balance, aged accounts payable, accruals etc.

 

Qualified candidates for this position will possess:

 

- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting a plus

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Oracle is a big plus
