The Analyst I will work within Nielsen Onlines Insights & Innovations team, reporting to the Vice President of Industry Insights. The Analyst I plays a pivotal role in supporting the VP of Industry Insights and four Research Directors to ensure that clients understand and derive value from Nielsen Online products and services, particularly within the CPG, Healthcare/Pharmaceutical, Retail/Commerce and Technology verticals. Essential Functions Support the VP of Research and Analytics and four Research Directors in producing custom research projects using Nielsen Online data.Procure data using Nielsen Online proprietary tools.Determine data feasibility using Nielsen Online proprietary tools. Create and contribute to the creation of client deliverables in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point. Develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; work with internal and external stakeholders to help them understand Nielsen Online data.QualificationsMinimum three years of directly relevant experience (market research, marketing/advertising/PR, strategy consulting, etc.)Strong written communication and computer skills, thorough knowledge of MS Office. High degree of comfort working with data. Able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Capable of working effectively with both business and technical staff.Technical aptitude, ability to work with technical tools. Solid understanding of the Internet and related research tools such as search engines, online databases, etc. Participation in and/or knowledge of Internet discussion forums and communities.Experience in one or more of the following industries is a plus: Technology, Healthcare/Pharmaceutical, CPG or Retail/Commerce.
