Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Analyst I, Supp Chain - 100744 - Sylmar, CA - 0300 Job Description:A. Primary Function - The Supply Chain Analyst I will provide a liaison between the Supply Chain Organization and IT. A key area of focus will be the support of overall logistics business processes and systems in a validated environment.B. Duties and Responsibilities Communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze and document information needs and functional requirements. Create specifications for systems that meet user requirements. Provide technical assistance to identify, evaluate, deploy and configure systems. Ensure overall success of testing, including results verification and release sign-off. Provide end-user support for software used in the shop floor and distribution areas. This includes configuration of software, interacting with vendors to ensure timely updates to software and issue resolution, and training of users. Establish and support mobile data capture – knowledge of Radio Frequency technology a plus. This includes identifying requirements, organizing and testing appropriate hardware and software, implementing agreed upon solution and integration of data. Communicate effectively with all levels of management; relaying all critical information. Interfaces with Supervisor, Customer Service Department, Production Managers, Production Supervisors, Warehouse Personnel, Buyers and Planners. Communicate both orally and written project status to business and IT process owners.C. Specialized Knowledge & Skills Strong analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of managers, subject matter experts and systems’ developers.D. Experience 1-2 years of experience as a business analyst or equivalent professional experience. Database programming experience a plus. Knowledge of SQL (Oracle, MS SQL Server), data query and reporting tools, analysis tools. SAP knowledge a plus Familiar with GMP manufacturing environment.E. Education & Training Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience as a business analyst or equivalent professional experience. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or Computer Science Related field preferred. CPIM or CSCP or PMP certification desirable. F. Physical Environment/Working Conditions – e.g. assembly line, lifting requirements (up to 40 lbs.)G.
