Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description:Position reports to the Director of Finance for R&D Business Operations, this position provides financial analytical support to CVT's Research and Operations (Research, CM&C, and Manufacturing) groups. The Analyst/Sr. Financial Analyst will develop appropriate budgets and forecasts and will assist in monitoring and analyzing actual financial performance to those financial forecasts. The Analyst/Sr. Financial Analyst will work to identify emerging financial issues in Research and Operations. Additional responsibilities for this role include: o Driving the monthly accruals process and ensuring that actual spending commitments are reflected accurately in CVT's financial statementso Driving and improving the monthly budget vs. actual vs. forecast reporting processo Working with R&D Group Controller to develop improved Executive Function Reporting and review processes. o Coordinating financial budgeting, planning and forecasting processes across Research and Operations o Acting as primary liaison between the assigned groups and various G&A groups (e.g. Finance, Accounting, and Purchasing)o Providing cost center managers with tools necessary to make accurate and timely decisions. Identify key cost drivers in the group, helping managers to stay informed of the financial impact of operational decisions/eventso Developing recommendations for cost savings and financial controlso Providing analytical and coordination support to FP&A's Corporate Reporting activities as requiredManage production and distribution of monthly and quarterly internal financial reports - department budget vs. actuals, variance analysis, commitment reports, etc. Serve as a financial resource, answer questions, and provide ad-hoc financial support to various department managers and employees.

Job Experience:A minimum of a Bachelors degree in a Finance or Business discipline is required for this position. A new MBA or concurrent enrollment in an MBA program a plus. Prefer 2-5 years work experience in a financial/business analytical role with experience working with budgets, forecasts, and actual financial data. Ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and analytical with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong PC skills, particularly with Excel modeling skills required. Experience with SAP ERP, SAP Business Warehouse (BW), and COGNOS a plus.Minimum Education Required: BachelorYears of Experience Required: 3-5 Years
