Job Description:Reports To: Senior Real Estate AttorneyKey Interactions:Internal: - Real Estate, Lease Administration, and Construction DepartmentsExternal: Landlord’s in house and outside legal departmentsOverview: The Paralegal/ Lease Analyst/ Legal Specialist will assist the Senior Real Estate Attorney in the review and negotiation of retail lease agreements and amendments, as well as on other real estate and construction matters.Roles & Responsibilities:* Review and assist the senior real estate attorney in the negotiation of retail lease agreements and amendments.* Interact with the construction department to review and negotiate lease construction exhibits.* Prepare internal documentation required for execution of negotiated leases.* Assist the real estate legal, real estate, lease administration, lease accounting and construction departments regarding retail real estate lease and legal issues.Requirements:* Either (i) degree from an accredited college or university or (ii) paralegal certificate* Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with a law firm, retailer, or landlord’s retail real estate legal department* Excellent interpersonal, organizational, speaking, and writing skills* Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)* Strong attention to detail is essential* Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize workload effectively* Strong sense of serviceMinimum Education Required: BachelorYears of Experience Required: At Least 3 YearsExpected Travel Time: None
