The incumbent is required to have or readily acquire knowledge of appliance product (assortment, availability, specifications, in-depth applications), pricing strategy and methodology (retail plan-to-sell, commercial price lists), financing options (zero percent, rebates, split-billing, Sears credit, Commercial One credit, third party credit), services (Protection Agreements, delivery, installation), and lead times. The position also requires well-developed organization, time management, communications and negotiation skills.Qualifications- Reviews Builder Profile Cards submitted by account managers for completeness and accuracy, and approves them for use in the Center- Sells appliances and related services by assisting the homebuyer in the selection process, following predetermined guidelines outlined in the Builder Profile Card - Acts as the single point of contact for the homebuyer during the selection process- Arranges work schedule/appointment schedule to accommodate customer preferences and Center staffing requirements - Develops and submits complete and accurate orders, ensuring adherence to lead time requirements - Maintains complete and accurate competitive quotation and customer files- Provides an orderly and comfortable sales environment for homebuyers by maintaining presentation standards in the Builder Resource Center- Continuously pursues job knowledge development through company and vendor-sponsored product training meetings, business planning meetings, catalogs and literature, other associates, etc.- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with the store - Introduces homebuyer to store associates to select other products for their home - Assists the account manager and/or district manager in presenting the Appliance Select program to builders, at the Builder Resource Center or offsite- Contacts inactive builder accounts to promote reactivation- Adheres to all pricing and procedural requirements- Adheres to all company guidelines for professional and ethical conduct- Demonstrates Sears Leadership Principles: Customer Focus, Change Management, Drive for Results, Teamwork, Performance Management, Diversity/InclusivenessPrior Experience/Education/Skills: - Experience in selling custom/upscale home-related product- PC skills (spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, contact management and order management programs, etc. and internet)BenefitsAs a Sears professional, your career path options will be determined by your performance as well as your desire to advance further within Sears organization.
