NXP is a top 10 semiconductor company founded by Philips more than 50 years ago. Headquartered in Europe, the company has 37,000 employees working in 20 countries across the world. NXP creates semiconductors, system solutions and software that deliver better sensory experiences in mobile phones, personal media players, TVs, set-top boxes, identification applications, cars and a wide range of other electronic devices. In the semiconductor industry, with its extreme R&D costs, its market dynamics, and its severe competition, Innovation and Technology is a vital function for survival, and for growth. Exploring the right innovative ideas at the right time, and the ability to rapidly turn them into better products, make the difference in our industries "battlefield". So, the I&T function is about doing things better: - how to reduce the number of redesigns?, - how to get better Time-to-Market? And about doing better things: - how to spend our R&D resources such that it best supports the needs of our business?, - how to set our portfolio?Dept 8242 Job Description Work on the award-winning Media Processing Center of Excellence, a.k.a.
