Current Openings Assistant Lead Interventionist for New Leaf Childcare Center (2 positions):

Full-time w/ benefits. Under the general supervision of the Lead Interventionist the Assistant Lead Interventionist will assist and support the day to day responsibilities of planning, executing and supervising the Preschool Program (ages 3-5). Promotes the quality of childcare through standards established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Vermont Department of Child Care Licensing and New Leaf Childcare Center. The Assistant Lead Interventionist will participate as a member of the New Leaf Childcare team. Program uses Responsive Teaching Curriculum to support children and families. The successful candidate will need to be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with community partner agencies, staff, home providers and families. Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Must have strong leadership skills and familiarity and commitment to New Leaf Child Care Center's philosophy and goals. Qualified candidates will have a CDA or Associates Degree in Human Services, 3 years of Early Childhood experience with a specialization in Infant/Toddler development preferred and knowledge of child development.

Providing comprehensive, community-based services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness; developmental disabilities, mental retardation and autism; children with severe emotional disturbances and their families; children and adults with acute behavioral problems and a wide range of other challenging behaviors.
