This division of Corporate Security seeks to prevent or minimize losses by determining and implementing the required safeguards and by providing 24-hour-a-day coverage. In addition, Security Operations personnel provide immediate response and intervention in cases of injury, property loss, illness, or physical danger. Security Representatives provide CPR, First Aid, physical protection, and intervention in emergency situations. Position Description:The Security Manager coordinates the cost effective management and delivery of life/safety, asset protection, crisis management and investigative services to site stakeholders. Works with regional personnel to identify and mitigate risks to the corporation. The manager may also be called upon to provide leadership to other exempt level security personnel. Primary Responsibilities:Directs, through the efforts of the site security supervisors and officers, cost effective management, and delivery of life/safety and assets protection services to all Fidelity owned and leased facilities in a single geographical region. Provides developmental direction for security personnel under their supervision. Assists in the development of site-wide policies, procedures, and standards relating to operational, physical, and technical security management. Explains and interprets corporate policy and procedures for subordinates and communicates relevant changes in administrative practices. Recommends hire, promotion, transfer, termination, and other rate and status changes of employees. Establishes and maintains meaningful relationships with business unit personnel and external service providers such as public safety agencies to influence security policy implementation and lowering the risk profile. Works with Senior Security management to provide strategic direction for programs, budgets, goals and objectives.Assists in the development of local goals and objectives that support major Corporate Security initiatives. Responsible to develop and manage the site operational and capitol budgets.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree required.3-5 years experience in an operational and technical security environment.Advanced degrees or certifications (CPP, CFE, CBCP) a plus Skills/Knowledge Strong technical knowledge of the security principles and practices for a broad spectrum of technical security and fire systems and protective service operations. Strong management skills and knowledge of budget forecast and control, and strategic planning.Precision and detail in operations. Strong written and oral communication skills. Experienced in group and individual presentations.Excellent influence and motivational skills.
