POSITION
SUMMARY:
The HSC Office of Diversity (OOD) is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented professional, to work with the Vice President for Diversity's leadership team as the Associate Director of the HSC Office of Diversity. The current OOD mission is to promote ethnic, racial, socio-economic, and geographic diversity in the Health Sciences Center, and to develop a variety of opportunities addressing key issues in diversity. The Associate Director provides leadership for strategic planning and developing policy and program initiatives for faculty, students and staff that promote educational and institutional access and equity. This individual will also develop and maintain partnerships within HSC and diverse communities, develop and oversee budget functions, and identify and submit grant and other funding requests.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree with 5 to 7 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience (as demonstrated in application packet): Developing pipeline programs Working with diverse populations Identifying and developing new funding sources Grant writing Presenting to a large, diverse community and/or professional audiences Working in an academic Health Sciences setting Supervising staff Developing and overseeing a budget Developing and implementing strategic plans Gathering, compiling, and summarizing data; preparing reports as necessary Creating Microsoft PowerPoint (or similar) presentations Proficiency with Microsoft: PowerPoint Excel Access Masters level degree Bilingual skills (Spanish, Pueblo and/or Navajo)
CONDITIONS OF
EMPLOYMENT:
Candidates for this position must be eligible for employment as verified by the US Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Government Services Administration (GSA); those individuals on the OIG/GSA Exclusion Lists will not be considered for hire. Once hired, periodic checks will be made for eligibility of continued employment.
