Associate Merchant

To support the Merchant Team through a variety of daily tasks including order writing, business analysis, presentations, buy meetings and vendor meetings. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Buy a separate area with minimal supervision; manage this business through on time order writing, item analysis and cancellations when necessary, maintain weekly key item sheets for all items and update with projections through season end Enter and verify all markdowns on a weekly basis Pull samples and produce reports to present the following meetings: Best Seller, Poor Sellers, Hindsight and Franchise Meetings and Style Out Attend buy sessions when needed to write orders and follow up with product managers or cad studio as needed Assist and advise Allocation Team on delivery issues, customer returns Cross-train for fabric purchasing and inventory control the Momentis System Have a working knowledge of Class Plans and Key Item Projections. There will be interaction also between the associate and the planning department on a weekly basis Attend vendor meetings on site and work with new vendor contacts.
