Job Description:Dimension & Scope:Under general supervisionprovide Local Area Network Systems administration duties that combine day-to-day user supportsoftware/hardware installationproblem resolution/monitoring of DesktopsPBX and/or Server resources. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day Desktop/LAN administration, user support, PBX and/or Server administration, and maintenance.Support Desktop/LAN services involving multiple Operating Systems (OS) and LAN-based groupware packages or E-mail system. Administer Desktop configurations, have an awareness in the management of the physical layer components, workgroup environments, and supporting ad hoc Desktop and LAN related trouble tickets through resolution.Provide technical support and configuration for OS, groupware, and E-mail software executing on the LAN and workstations. Support installation of development and test software for business units and assist users with resolving desktop issues related to their environment.Install and configure hardware including desktop PCs, laptops, and printers and trouble-shoot hardware issues, including network connectivity.Install and maintain facility wiring infrastructure Analyze symptoms for accurate isolation of customer and Convergys data network problems.Identify and resolve customer access issues.Assist data network group in problem analysis of advanced network problems. Enough knowledge to independently troubleshoot intermediate problems and resolve some.Under direction of Data Network group, independent installation and maintenance of CSU/DSU for data connectivity, modems, data switches, voice and data multiplexing equipment and circuit and station circuit packs on the PBX and ACD switches.Distribute ongoing software or telephone usage tips aiding in end user productivity.Provide end user training, one on ones or in small groups for purpose of enhancing the effectiveness of online projects.Assist in team efforts to establish, document, and implement software installation standards for Windows and all company software applications.Provide leadership to other Technicians in managing events in a calll center environment; act as mentor to Technician IV and below.Provide end user departments with system pricing and ordering assistance as required. Initiate order activity with vendor via corporate purchasing.Provide on-call technical support via pager as required.Work Vantive trouble tickets and service requests as assigned by manager.Determine priority of action based on severity of service disruptions and respond appropriately.Education & Professional Certifications:Entry into TCPAssociate’s Degree in related technical discipline And Two years relevant experienceOr Bachelor’s Degree in related technical disciplineOr Bachelor’s Degree in non-technical discipline AndTwo years relevant experienceOr Four-years relevant experience without college degreeMovement within TCPMinimum two years experience in A4 Level TCP position.Technical Certification of Cisco and/or Windows Operating System (MCSE) a plus.Candidate Profile:Multi-task and maintain composure in stressful and demanding work environment.Exercise flexibility and resourcefulness in challenging and/or perplexing situations.Proficiency with various software applications such as Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong technical aptitude and analytical skillsMust possess good interpersonal, organizational, time management, judgement, and decision-making skills.Excellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasksCustomer service and detail orientedEnvironment, Physical & Other Requirements:NAExpected Travel Time: None Contact Information: intConfig Email: Apply by Email
