Job Purpose:Leads and manages the day-to-day activities of new initiatives, major ongoing projects and other ongoing business deliverables in accordance with business needs. Identifies, evaluates and resolves issues that conflict with project deliverables. Collaborates closely with project team members, business owners and sponsors to develop and successfully implement projects/programs. Assesses project risks, develops mitigation and contingency plans. Responsible for developing and maintaining an effective communication plan. Oversees project and works with customers/business owners to ensure projects have required resources, meets milestones and are successfully implemented. Leads and coordinates matrix and/or cross-functional team. May lead and support a direct report team.Duties and Responsibilities. Develops detailed design document and recommendations for review, effectively utilizing project management methodologies.. Develops effective business process improvement initiatives. . Demonstrates ability to assess risk and ability to formulate and communicate risk management plan and recommend go/no-go decisions.. Analyzes, documents, and reports program performance results throughout the company. . Ensures a cooperative effort across the organization on all tasks, issues, and projects, managing and resolving conflicts as needed. This is accomplished through effective communication plans and processes resulting in a collaborative resolution or result within established time frames.. Implements program and process changes as needed to support the intended goals/objectives.. Performs analytic functions and coaches team members in technical, analytical, production and other areas.. Effectively facilitates cross-functional meetings and teams and communicates effectively in relation to audience.. Proposes a variety of solutions to business issues/problems utilizing appropriate analysis tools (i.e. Cost/Benefit Analysis, Flow Charting, etc.).. Assists upper level management on special assignments, i.e., budgets, operating plans and financial cost forecasts to support the objectives.. Maintains understanding of Project resources and priorities.. Oversee the implementation of the project(s) on a daily basis with regard to timeframes, budget requirements and quality.. Ensures that all project related documentation is clear and contains accurate information and provides a means to maintain the documentation over time.. Pursues active membership in professional organizations and seeks continual professional development in an effort to identify industry trends and innovative solutions to current and emerging industry challenges. Job Experience:Hiring Requirements/QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree. Experience: . Two years of project management experience. If no degree, four years project management experience. At least 1 year must be within a large, multi-phased corporate project or program. . Sharepoint experience. Ability to "wear multiple hats", multi-task, and work independently. . An understanding of a standard software development lifecycle. Hiring PreferencesAdditional Education/Experience Preferences . Demonstrated proficiency operating a computer with Windows based navigation.. Demonstrated proficiency with MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.. Commitment to excellent customer service.. Project management software experience preferred.. Proven ability to manage own work and meet deadlines.. Accuracy and attention to detail.. Ability to work and direct in departmental and cross-functional project teams.. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.. Mathematical, analytical and statistical aptitude..
