Associate Statistician

Education Requirement: BS in statistics, mathematics or other science related field with basic knowledge of statistical design and analysis.

 

Other Requirement: Familiarity with PC applications such as SAS, SQL, and Excel. Strong analytical reasoning skills and attention to detail.

 

Duties:

· Performs statistical analysis of data generated in clinical and laboratory studies in a timely manner.

· Performs data entry when needed.

· Checks data and statistical results for trends, significant differences and potential irregularities.

· Works with Investigators and Clinical Managers to ensure Sponsor needs are being met.

· Maintains biostatistics calendar in order to track due dates.

· Follows-up with Investigators and/or Clinical Managers to check whether and when the Sponsor requires top-line analyses.

· Follows-up with Statistics Managers to ensure statistical analysis is being performed in the manner expected by the Sponsor.

· Follows-up with clinicians to obtain timely visit information.

· Oversees that in-progress and completed study data sheets are being scanned, entered and verified in a reasonable amount of time so that statistical analysis can be provided to the Sponsor in a timely manner.

· Reviews study reports for accuracy of statistical methodology that was used, Statistical Results and Conclusions sections.

· Assists in the design of study forms and questionnaires required for statistical analysis.
