Audience Development Senior Manager
Summary: Manage all aspects of audience development for paid and/or controlled publications that the position is responsible for. The core goal is ratebase management or sufficient subscription generation for the purpose of delivering print / digital magazines to a designated number of qualified recipients based on requirements specific to the publisher/management of each publication. The subscription generation process is the largest, single most contributor to the overall development of Everything Channel's vast database which serves as the nucleus for the vast majority of Everything Channel's products, included event marketing, edit/research studies, subscription cross promotions, lead generation, net seminar recruitment, list rentals, newsletters and community development
Responsibilities: Plan and implement all aspects of renewal direct marketing campaigns for various publications, including setting up an entire renewal series over the course of the year. Maintain campaign detail, tracking and update the budget/financial model communicate variances to the Director and supply monthly forecasts to business office.Oversee print order process. Work with production department to provide accurate instructions between the fulfillment house and the printing plant, including the coordination of show/event, office comp copies as well as any advertising split information (geo, demographic, etc.).Approve all invoices generated by brand and track them electronically for comparison to budgets and re-forecasts.Provide comprehensive competitive analysis of the appropriate markets on an ongoing basis for sales teams and publisher.Approve requests for mailing lists, including coordination with the E-Media Team on e-mail list requests.Oversee brand specific customer service requests, assuring they are directed to the correct person or handled properly by various members of Audience Development team with the utmost sensitivity as our audience is our most valuable asset.Proofread all renewal and new subscriber printed components including the qualification card at the design and again at blue-line stage.Support Sales Team efforts with responsive, comprehensive responses to RFP and various demographic/geographic requests for respective publications.Help pull together the Audit Materials and Statement of Ownerships annually, file semi-annual BPA statements and maintain appropriate back up materials to do so, throughout the year.Act as back-up in Director/Sr. Group Director's absence.Other ad-hoc projects related to audience development.
Requirements:Bachelors Degree or higher education required. Direct Marketing campaign experience for print publications and/or events (email and/or direct mail preferred)4-5+ years of experience in circulation, controlled and/or paidComfortable with Microsoft officeAnalytical skillsAbility to MultitaskStrong communication skills (verbal and written) Spreadsheet competency required, as well as proficient email, internet, & general office skills
