Auto Product Manager

Auto Product Manager Position Overview/Summary:Develops and manages Auto product line to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. This role includes the development of new products, modifying existing products and maintenance of current products based upon financial results and customer acceptance. Manage the implementation and administration processes for all PL Auto product initiatives. Responsibilities:. Participates in all aspects relating to developing and managing an assigned product line. • Act as a product line expert and maintain a thorough knowledge of company product features and benefits as well as industry product trends. Provide product expertise to various internal areas to include sales, marketing, service and finance.• Participates in research and analysis of new product ideas and interprets results. Works with the senior management to evaluate the cost/benefit of market opportunities and new initiatives.•Provides country-wide analysis, tracking and refinement of post-implementation product launches.•Manages delivery and administration system development efforts – includes direction of business process management, support of Technology partners, support of staff support (training assets, Claims, etc.) and support of other internal and external constituencies/vendors.•Prioritizes (by consensus and through escalation processes) active and pending project inventory and communicates these priorities to internal constituents•Collaborates with Personal Lines Leadership in determining strategic direction, evaluating tactical situations and formulating actions plans in response to both.•Trains and develops Product staff.•Product delivery and administration platforms of enduring value – lower revision cycle times, faster development cycles, data integrity controls, more business ownership•Sustained PL profitability in all markets. •Strategic Partnering - Creates collaborative, productive partnerships with key stakeholders such as State Management, IT, Underwriting, Operations, Claims, Actuarial, vendors and other key functions to establish strategies that will achieve overall company goals. Ability to integrate critical analysis with other functional leaders to plan for and help achieve Product strategies Requirements:BS/BA Business, Economics, 5 plus years of directly related Personal Lines Auto Product Management background.Strong Personal Lines Insurance KnowledgeExcellent Communication SkillsSupervisory and Management ExperienceMinimum Education Required: BachelorYears of Experience Required: 3-5 YearsExpected Travel Time: None
