BI Reporting Analyst
POSITION OBJECTIVE: To provide critical support to the Controller, Business Operations as it relates to reporting and analysis of key financial elements (actual, plan, projection) to the Executive team and to the Planning team. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the Controller's reporting responsibilities (via various business systems - Excel, Smartlook, Planning System). This includes, but is not limited to: · Daily Sales/Gross Margin reports (which includes Comp, TY/LY Actual, Plan, MBR, Projection information · Monday's reporting of previous week's performance (Includes reporting various data from a high level down to a store level). · Store count/square footage reports. · Transaction reports. · Gross Receipt reporting. · Maintain the historical files/data that is used for reporting and analytical purposes. (ie: sales by store/by day, gross receipts/gross margin by week, etc…) · Create Excel reports for upcoming months, utilizing / updating existing reports with Plan, Projection, Actual LY information. · Develop Adhoc reports / Smartlook views as needed to support analysis of this position or the Controller. · Assist in the Monthly Business Review process. · Document maintenance. · Report distribution. · Assist the Controller in the completion of the following: Markdown approval process, Fabric commitment process, Purchase Order Approval Process. · Develop a strong working knowledge of important business concepts: · Comp Store Sales / Inventory · Retail Method/Cost Method Accounting · Dollar / Unit Inventory flow, WOS, turn · Gross Margin / Initial Mark-up · Understand the importance of / willingness to work with minor details. · Back-up the Controller position as needed. · Have fun with the work each day and enjoy the unique ability to be part of a creative and energetic team at White House | Black Market.
