BOWLING CENTER MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general direction of the Bowling Center Manager, handles all preventive maintenance and repair responsibilities in the Student Union Bowling Center. Assists the Manager with assigned projects/duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs preventive maintenance on Brunswick A-2 pinsetters, Zot Foul Light system, Brunswick I.Q. Synthetic Lane System, and Twelve Strike scoring system. Repairs and adjusts machinery and scoring system. Daily maintenance of (14) bowling lanes and Kegel ION oiling machine. Daily care and maintenance of entire Bowling Center facility (including, but not limited to billiards, table tennis, and foosball tables, video arcade, restrooms, furnishings, fixtures, lighting, carpet, etc.). Interviews, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates 6-8 student maintenance assistants (pinchasers). Assists with inventory, ordering parts and supplies, and receiving Bowling Center deliveries. Maintains inventory of machine parts, oiling and cleaning supplies. Organizes and maintains work spaces (including pinsetter area, shop and office). Works with and around hazardous materials, and maintains current records of applicable MSDS Documentation. Performs additional job related duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Thorough working knowledge of Brunswick A-2 pinsetters, Kegel ION oiling machine, and bowling lane conditioning and maintenance. Working knowledge of Twelve Strike scoring system and Brunswick I.Q. Synthetic Lane System, or equivalent systems. Knowledge of all other related bowling products and equipment. Working knowledge of and experience in building trade skills (including, but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and woodworking) and power tools. Working knowledge of CAL/OSHA standards, safety and emergency procedures. Must have good verbal and written communication skills; must be able to work well with students, staff, and the public in a highly diverse environment. Ability to use and repair computers and monitors. Must be able to work a flexible shift schedule according to the needs of the Bowling Center. Must have demonstrated ability to train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED equivalency certificate preferred. Two or more years experience as an A-Mechanic working on Brunswick A-2 pinsetters, and related equipment indicated above. Two or more years of responsible experience with building trade skills. Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs. or more.

This position is non-exempt from the provisions of Section 1 of the California Industrial Welfare Commission orders.
SALARY RANGE:
$3400 - $5000/month plus benefits: medical, dental, vision, 403b Retirement Plan. Appointments are normally made at Step 1 of the salary range.
